Our rings came out exactly as we pictured them and Amy was not only a great teacher but just great company overall. We played some music in the background, brought some of our favorite snacks and beer and just enjoyed every second.

Her workshop is more than just designing the look and feel of our wedding rings; it was bending, soldering, banging up our rings, and then polishing them till they resembled something as good as what'd you get from the jewelry store.

FAQ

+ I’ve never done any jewelry making before, is that OK?
Yep! No experience is necessary, and you don’t have to be “crafty” or good with tools. I’ll walk you through each step of the process.

+ How many people are in the session?
These are private sessions. So just the two of you and myself.

+ When is the next workshop?
We'll schedule your session together upon booking.

+ When is the next workshop?
I recommend couples reserve their session at least two months in advance. However, you can always contact me about last-minute workshops as I can often accommodate sessions in on short notice.

+ What kind of rings can we make?
You have all kinds of choices, from the shape of the ring stock, to the width, to the texture and finish of the ring. For an additional fee, you can even add stones, or make your ring two-tone gold.

+ Where do the sessions take place?
In my sunny, plant-filled studio in Abington, MA (about a half hour south of Boston).

+ What kind of metal can we use?
At the Wedding Ring Workshop you can make rings out of any color or karat gold (including white gold palladium), or silver. Sorry, no platinum or titanium.

+ How do I know what a certain ring width will look like on my finger?
You’ll get access to a document that you can print. It has several different ring widths on it that you can cut out and wrap around your finger.

+ I don’t know my ring size, how can I find that out?
No problem. We will determine your ring size the day of the session, and get a perfect fit.

+ Can I add stones to my band?
Yes, but because stone setting is a more advanced skill, I do that part. You will make the band to completion the day of the session and I’ll set the stones at a later date and then ship or deliver the ring to you. There is an additional fee for stone setting.

+ Can we make each other’s rings?
Definitely! Most couples do. How sweet is that?

+ Can we take the rings home that day?
Yes! Your rings will come home with you the day of your session.

+ Can we engrave the rings?
Yes you can. I recommend keeping the inscription fairly simple, like dates and initials.
